I study American political institutions, judicial politics, and research methodology.‚Äã Broadly, my research centers on law and the impact of political institutions. I also study how political elites shape public perceptions of electorally insulated institutions, such as the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Justice. My methodological interests center on measurement theory, improving statistical inference, and experimental analysis.
