The main focus of my research is understanding the sources, management, and consequences of intrastate and interstate conflicts. In particular, I am interested in the relationship between domestic political institutions and conflict. I have studied these topics cross-nationally, as well as in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Syrian refugee crisis.
