LaGina Gause is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California San Diego. Her research interests are at the intersection of U.S. political institutions and political behavior with a focus on racial and ethnic politics, inequality, and representation. Dr. Gause received her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Political Science, and her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She received her B.A. from Howard University. During the 2017–2018 academic year, she was a Democracy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School. She is currently a faculty affiliate of UCSD’s African American Studies minor and a faculty affiliate of the Center for Commerce and Diplomacy (CCD) at the School of Global Policy and Strategy.
