I am an associate professor of political science at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a faculty scholar at the Center for the study of Elections and Democracy. My research focuses on the causes and consequences of ideological polarization in American politics – among both elected officials and the public. I received my PhD in politics from Princeton University in 2014.
