Natascha S. Neudorfer is Professor of Political Economy at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Germany. Previously, she was Associate Professor and Birmingham Fellow in International Security at the University of Birmingham. Before that, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Munich (LMU) and Amsterdam University College. Natascha holds a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Essex. She is associate editor of the Journal of Global Security Studies.
Natascha is a comparative civil war and corruption expert working on both developing (mainly Africa) and developed countries and has an extensive background in research design, quantitative research methods (inferential statistics and machine learning), qualitative and mixed-methods methods. Her subfields of political science are political economy, comparative politics and international relations.
Having studied and worked at various universities in Europe (Amsterdam, Birmingham, Essex, Konstanz, Limerick, Munich) and the USA (EITM 2010 Berkeley, Duke), Natascha has extensive experience in different research environments as part of interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
