After completing the EITM Summer Institute in 2002, I entered the PhD program in Economic Analysis and Policy at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 2007, I joined the Department of Political Science at UC Berkeley as an Assistant Professor. In 2017, I moved to the Department of Economics at the University of San Francisco. My research, focused on China’s political economy, has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Theoretical Politics, the Quarterly Journal of Political Science, World Development, and other journals.
